The biggest influence that Keystone has on most railfans is that we cross the mainline here while running up and down the west slope getting to better spots or heading into Meyersdale for supplies. The Western Maryland and the B&O had an interchange just east of the crossing, and the B&O had a 4th track (siding) begin here. The 4th track as well as the third track (on the left) have been removed, but one can still find remnants of the old Wild Mary near by.
