In the beauty of Idaho's panhandle lies Sandpoint. A busy railroad junction town the skirts the shores of Lake Pend Orielle. The railroad however shoots right across the deep lake on a very long low trestle. Here we see a westbound BNSF stacker on the middle of the lake in the late afternoon of July 13th 1997. I got to visit here again in the fall of 2000 but the weather was not too great that day.
